Rhea is our most althletic doe on the farm who boasts a lot of strong dairy traits! She is smooth on the move with a great front end and a distinctly feminine head. As a 2 year old FF we are extremely happy with how her mammary system came in. She has a large area of attachment, a smooth foreudder, and a well defined medial. Rhea milks out well, has a very soft texture to her udder, and dairy skin. Her FF lactation produced 687 lbs of milk, 39 lbs of butterfat, and 32 lbs of protein in only 213 days, easily qualifying her for her AR milk star!!! (Pending ADGA to catch up of course - all 3 categories!!!!).

At LA 2023 the appraiser really liked Rhea, stating she was a very nice, angular young doe with nice dairy strength who just needed more freshenings under her to excel. He commented specifically on her foreudder being very stable with good width, good capacity forward, and having nice extension blending into her body. He also spoke on her rump, stating he liked how it was level side to side, had prominent thurles, and the width in her hips came back nicely to her pin bones. We are excited to see how another lactation improves upon the capacity of her mammary system, and can’t wait for her to freshen in 2024!
